Our Herd Sires
(click on thumbnails  to see larger photos)

Gatillero (DOB: 1/1/2001; J.R. Whitney x J.R. Grand Slam)

Don't sacrifice conformation for Horn! With this black with white bull you can have both! He has been a great addition to our herd. He has sired many tri-colored calves.  Calves show early horn growth.  His pedigree includes Gunman and Zhivago. Owned 50-50 with Tidwells.  Gatillero is now A.I. certified #626.

BH Tiger Mixer (DOB: 4/22/2004;  BH Hallie Girl x Dark Star Chex)

We are partners with Orren Mixer on this bull with the unusual brindle color -- palomino with brown stripes.  Lots of early horn grown.

Bordeaux (DOB: 4/9/2002; Cabernet x Canadian Hunter Toro)

This young bull's Grand Sire is the legendary Toro Negro, sire of Overwhelming Toro.  He has a Who's Who pedigree, lots of horn, and is SOLID BLACK.  Great horn growth.

Zabaco (DOB: 3/19/2004; Cabernet x Gatillero)

Colorful grandson of the late, great Senator bull.  Senator was voted one of the 11 Greatest Texas Longhorn Herd Sires of all time.  Zabaco's dam has horns that measured 67" t2t as of summer 2005.  Zabaco measured 65" tip to tip at the last check.  We think that he is well on his way to a projected 72" tip to tip at maturity.  Look for his first offspring to be for sale as yearlings in the spring of 2007.

SOLD   Thank you Wes & Carol Chancey.

Bazooka (DOB: 6/8/2003; Adobe .44 x Gatillero)

Gunman, Emperor, Superman--this 2003 rich mahogany bull has a who's who pedigree.  Bazooka--a definite herd sire!  Co-owned with Hurst Farms.

Panama (DOB: 4/20/2002; Choctaw Squaw x Permanent Resident)

Check out the hind quarter on this young bull.  A son of Permanent Resident, this brindle color bull has horns of the right kind.  Pedigree includes Senator & Conquestroan.  Watch for his progeny in the near future--he sires twisted-horn offspring.   Currently the herd sire at Sandy Creek Ranch, Rush Springs, Oklahoma.

  SOLD   Thank you, Butch Stevenson.

.44 Magnum (DOB: 5/21/1997; Goodtime Gal x Superman)

Red with white speckles. Beautiful bull with a great pedigree (Overwhelmer, Cowcatcher, Classic, Ranger's Measles). We have sold him but he remains forever in our herd through his progeny.

Merlot (DOB: 3/26/2000; Cabernet x .44 Magnum)

This beautiful red bull with white underline added much to our herd. He is a Superman grandson and a Senator grandson. Merlot is under new ownership--Eileen Day purchased Merlot.

BH Mr. Smokey (DOB:  3/1/2005; BH Sweet Anna x Dark Star Chex).

We leased this up and coming son of Dark Star Chex from Buckhorn Cattle Company for the '06 breeding season.

Kayak (DOB: 2/26/2005; GF G Scarlet x Kodiak 249)

We raised him with lots of hands on care.  He is now owned by the Redhills Ranch.  We leased this great bull back from the Redhills Ranch for the 2007 breeding season; we will see his calves in 2008.

El Tres (DOB: 4/23/2005; Pistol Patty x Gatillero)  A handsome look-a-like son of Gatillero, his blended pedigree includes many greats in the breed; including Gunman and Colorado Cowboy.

El Tres is owned 50/50 with Neal and Charlotte Williams from Weatherford, OK.
